Hi!
My name is Ian Zandi and I’m the photographer/owner of Zandimancam. I founded it following LA’s comedy theater reopening post-pandemic. I’ve since diversified my portfolio with covering concerts with Noisescape Magazine, non-traditional weddings, cinema Q&A’s, studio headshots, album covers and more!
All of my shoots include a unique sense of composition and color grading. You know my work when you see it, which is something I’m proud of. It’s primarily inspired by my passion for cinema.
Some of my notable subjects I’ve covered include…
The Black Keys, Cheri Oteri, Pixies, Anberlin, Bob Odenkirk, Kurt Vile, Paris Hilton, Sixpence None the Richer, Mila Kunis, They Might Be Giants, Lizzo, Don Johnson, Bill Burr, Aaron Pierre, John August, Postmodern Jukebox, Bobcat Goldthwait, Alyssa Edwards, John Milhiser, Regina Spektor, Amy Poehler, Remi Wolf, David Dastmalchian, Forrest Shaw, Tony Hale, June Squibb, Weird Al Yankovic, Jim Jefferies, Forrest Shaw, Jimmy O. Yang, Jay Light, Margaret Cho, Kirsten Dunst, Gabrielle Union, Rilo Kiley, Rian Johnson…
and collaborated with brands such as…
Simply Beverages, Alamo Drafthouse, Netflix, Focus Features, Comedy Records…
at prestigious venues such as…
The Wiltern, Kia Forum, Alamo Drafthouse, Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theater, Hollywood Palladium, The Comedy Store, Greystone Mansion, The Hollywood Improv, Pack Theater, Egyptian Theater, Aero Theater, Los Feliz 3, Hollywood Roosevelt, The Broadwater, The Yard Theater, Dynasty Typewriter, The Crow, The Orpheum, The Belasco, The Roxy Theater...
featured in outlets such as…
LA Weekly, People, Entertainment Weekly, Variety, Noisescape Magazine, MONAD art gallery…
...just to name a few. I handle all shoots professionally while having a relaxed personality to get the best possible image. The work and positive word of mouth speaks for itself.
Though I rarely have time to perform live these days, I am also an accomplished standup, sketch, and improv comedian with work featured in The Onion, Overheard LA, Buzzfeed, Humor Darling, Second City, UCB, NPR, and Paste Magazine. My comedy style is often absurd and satirical in nature.
I’ve produced and hosted dozens of sold-out live shows in the last 10 years including Late Night Disaster Show, It’s a Rad, Rad, Rad World, Tales from the Laugh Dimension, Seven is Enough, The Roast of 2023, and A Fonzie Scheme. In 2022, I co-headlined the West Coast Best Coast comedy tour with Patrick Lopez.
My comedic timing intuition is utilized behind the lens along with improvisational skills when communicating with photography clients.
